Tom has been involved with photography for over three decades. He is experienced through academic training and a variety of photo shoots and multiple expressions of photography. He was a photography student at the College of Creative studies in Detroit, Michigan. There he was taught various formats and printing processes including 8x10 B&W photography and printing processes as well as platinum/palladium printing. Also, his interest in printing led him to pursue training in the piezography printing process.
Tom recently retired from his work as a psychologist, marriage and family therapist, and adjunct professor. His professional career lends to his interests in photography which covers a myriad of subjects. He has been involved in photography shows in the Detroit area, the Czech Republic, and in Colorado. His early work in expressions of film including black and white as well as color, has shifted over to digital imagery. The combination of learning film and the early printing processes involved with film, combined with the technology of digital imagery, has provided an additional creative journey for him.
